The compleat angler...
Caleb A. George, D.D.S.
Cal grew up in central New York where, as a teenager, he met his future wife Ellie. He completed his undergraduate education at Hamilton College and then attended dental school at SUNY Buffalo on a Regents dental scholarship, graduating summa cum laude. He completed the graduate orthodontic program at SUNY Buffalo and has been in private practice since 1981.
Cal and Ellie have one son, Scott, who is currently attending Siena College. The family resides in Charlton with their chocolate Labrador retriever.
When not in the office, Cal spends as much time outdoors as possible. At his camp in the Adirondacks, Cal pursues his passions of fishing, canoeing, hiking, boating, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and cross-country skiing. Nothing makes him happier than to be carrying a canoe into wilderness ponds or fishing out of his boat on Lake Champlain.
Cal and his wife maintain a number of large gardens, where they grow everything from blueberries to giant pumpkins. At his camp, Cal has transplanted over 100 trees. And at the Burnt Hills office, it is an autumn tradition to have one of their large pumpkins (of up to 800 pounds!) adorning the front lawn.
Cal enjoys orthodontics because he likes fixing things. As part of a grander scheme, it brings order out of chaos. For this reason, he has come to appreciate that creating beautiful smiles is one of the best occupations on earth.
